Double room with Private bathroom with a big shower! Great location- close to the Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and many great places. Free parking is a big plus! A little pricey but the location and big clean rooms make up for it. They have female dorms too at about $50 including breakfast.

3. HI San Francisco Downtown Hostel
A triple room with shared bathroom. Great location close to cable car and many eateries close by. Good clean rooms and location make it a real value for money place to stay. Male and Female Dorms available too for about $50.

A historical hotel housed in a 1912 building but a well renovated and clean place. A great budget option having Double room with shared bath. Very close to Union Square, Civic center and many other tourist attractions. Clean rooms, great staff and amenities like microwave, fridge make for a wonderful stay.

5. Green Tortoise Hostel
Location is very near to the Chinatown, City Lights Bookstore and the entertainment district. For the amount of money was it a very good stay. There are fun activities arranged which is great fun and you get to meet many fellow tourists. Travel is very comfortable with easy access to bus, trams and other public transport.

6. ITH Pacific Tradewinds Hostel
Again great location. It is very near to theUnion square, Coit Tower etc. A wonderful place if travelling in group and looking to have a great time in a tight budget. The rooms and bath is clean. There are events organized for guests. Must check out this place for a great hostel experience.

The views of the Bay Bridge are just stunning, and I love the lively atmosphere here. It’s amazing how this place breathes life and provides such a gorgeous escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
3. Flacos
A great small place for Mexican, Spanish food. Try out the yummy Taquitos, Tacos, Tamale. Again wallet friendly and delicious.
4. The Halal Guys
As usual these guys are good and reasonably priced. Platters would cost about $21 while a package meal for 4-5 people costs $80
5. Wat Mongkolratanaram
A very unique and great experience. This Thai Buddhist Temple is a good 11 miles from Union square. But the experience is such that had to include it in the list. Quite crowded. You have to take tokens and stand in long queues! Costs under $10 and is quite tasty.
6. Mo’s Grill
Since the choice and range is so big, a few more to add to the list-
